How do you select your products?
We choose product lines based on what we would put in our own home. We do not sell you a product we would not stand behind. When we chose our products, we look for quality, a good warranty, as well as a product that has been proven to withstand time and weather. That means we sell products that aren’t going to fall apart after a year of being installed in your home.
What payment methods do you accept?
Check, cash, and card. If you are in need of financing, we can offer financing through Hearth. Additional fees may apply when processing a credit card transaction and applying for financing.
What happens to my old windows?
We are an eco-minded company. That means we recycle. We haul away your old windows, doors, and siding and other materials. We recycle metal at a recycling re-seller. Glass is also recycled. We even recycle the cardboard that we use during installation.
What About Warranties?
We warranty our installation for up to three years and take other claims on a case by case basis. This is stated in our contract along with all of our contact information. We give you a paper copy of the manufactures warranty on the products that we have put into your home. These warranties can generally be found on that company’s website too. If you ever find yourself with an issue with the product, we would be happy to assist you with this warranty.
Is your pricing competitive?
Absolutely! In a business such as construction, it is vital to offer pricing that is comparable to our competitors. We do our best to get the best pricing from our manufacturers so you can receive the best price on your home improvement project. And if you find a quote that is better than Z Double B’s please contact us and we will be happy to see if we can beat it!
How do I know you are a reputable company, not a shady contractor?
We have a combined thirty years worth of experience. We are a fully insured, licensed company that pulls permits for the work on your property when required. We would be happy to give your references of our previous work.
What is the minimum amount of window/siding you will bid?
We believe no job is too large or too small for Z Double B. We will do anything from repairs to large number and size window installations.
How long does the installation process take?
This is a difficult question. Our installation process depends on a great number of factors; the most important is the manufacturer of the product being purchased. If we can quickly pick up a pre-made product then we can get to the installation on your home right away. However, quite often, we must special order the product in the correct size and color, then allow time for the manufacturer to build and ship it. This can take anywhere from a week to ten weeks for some custom-made large windows or glass doors.
Once we get a product’s delivery date we try to schedule a time to start installation with you as soon as possible.
The size of the project is another factor. For example, the amount of siding being replaced or number of windows to be installed. For bigger projects that need multiple trades (windows, siding, doors, etc.) a multi-day installation process is very likely. In Colorado inclement weather can also effect installation time. We want to be efficient with your installation, but we also want to do our work right and safely. A typical job is completed in six to twelve weeks.
Is there any prep work I should do before the installation of new windows?
We do ask you to take down drapes and window coverings if possible. We need about 2-3 feet of space inside and out of each window. As well as move small trinkets away from the window. We take care of your home like it is our own. We will move any large furniture and take the time to put down cardboard and drop clothes to keep your home as clean as possible during the installation.
What about your installation crew?
Our installation crew is both experienced and drug-free. As an installation crew we want them to give you the best quality of work possible. Therefore we do conduct random drug testing.
